My name is Doug. I was diagnosed with lupus at age 17, and
I have dealt with joint pain, photosensitivity, kidney disease,
anemia, high blood pressure and diabetes as a result of this
disease and the medications that I take to treat it.
|
|
At the same, lupus has never stopped me from reaching
my goals, whether it be earning a Ph.D., getting married,
or becoming a father. I feel that I have been fortunate
to accomplish so much while battling such a challenging
illness.

|
This
is my story. One voice from many and it is my hope that
research will fund a cure. You can help me by contributing
